Keep a journal of:
- Photograpy elements learned
- Application to your own photography
- Reflection on what you learned about the process of research, organizing, drafting, sharing, revising, publishing.
- Think in terms of What Else:
What:
What is it? (element to learn)
How do it? (what are you supposed to do?)
What I will do? (describe how you will do it and how you will include the element)
So What?
What I did ( describe how you did the task to include the element)
What I learned, including writing and photographic element reflection based on image
Now What?
What will I do next time?
What is the next element to learn?

Dear Erika,
Thank you for teaching us photography. We all hope you get better soon.
I think that shutter speed on the camera takes really good pictures and my first favorite was the fireworks one because it has a lot of different colors and it looks cool because you captured it as it was falling out of the sky. my second favorite is the xibalba-2. How did you take that picture? what is behind the tree?

Laira13 - All you have to do is point your camera directly into the sun then wait for the camera to adjust to the light. All you have to do now is close your fingers in front of the camera to create the illusion that you are holding the sun. I love taking pictures like that, your hand becomes a silhouette and the photo feels powerful as if you have superhuman abilities. It's fun!
Arian13 - "Xibalba" is actually a globe lantern I made out of bamboo sticks and tissue paper. The outside is covered with white tissue paper and the black tissue paper is glued on the inside, there is also a small light on the inside to make the black tissue paper tree stand-out. The photo is just taken against a white background so that the art is the focus of the picture. That's one trick when taking photos of art work: always make sure to have a blank background, because you don't want other objects detracting away from your beautiful artwork!
West13 - The music from the video is by three of my favourite artists: Albert Hammond Jr.(who was part of a band called The Strokes), Feist (who is a Canadian female singer), and Malajube (which is French-Canadian band).
Thank you everyone else for your messages. I am starting to feel a little better, but am sadly still a little sick. I am glad you are all getting excited because I am thrilled!
