I have learned that the cars that take gas are polluting our world to this day. We are running out of fossil fuels. Also we need to start getting more fuel efficent cars before our world gets even more polluted. See now the hybrids that can take just energy or water and hydrogen dont pollute our world and along with that we arent having to pay for expensive gas! Gas is also causing alot of the problems we have on earth
for instance the ozone layer has a hole in it from air pollution which mainly from the gas that we use. Another problem we have is global warming , it is destroying our cold environment which has animals in it. If we dont stop any of these problems than sooner or later we wont have anything left of our world.
Dear President,
My concern is the gas. GAS is polluting our air and our world . Not only that but gas is really expensive. George W. Bush put us in war which is the worst place to put our country.

Please find some statistics to persuade the president. If we switch to hybrid cars or other fuels, how much less oil will we use?

Find quotes for the ozone layer and global warming to support your idea (expert or statistics for persuasive strategy).
So, you have a nice start on including your ideas with excellent vocabulary.
