Letters To The President
Letters to the Future: Letters to the President
Voters can express their priorities in the voting booth—but young people also deserve to be heard. It’s your future too. Think about the questions below. Create a "new page" using "T0 L2P Team Ideas" as a templete. Name your page "TX L2P Ideas." The "x" should be your team number.
Write your team responses on your new page. Then choose the issue you think is most important to research, explain, and promote. Write your code name and issue in the table provided. As team, decide where you can obtain resources for your ideas. After you have completed the brainstorming session, each team member should create their own My Project Notes page using the template My Project Notes. This is where you may keep your notes, summaries, gist statements, opinions, and metaphor framework. See that page for directions after completing this page.
Remember, it's your future, too. Your letter will be published for the candidates and the voting public to read. Can you convince them of the importance of the issue you care about? Can you move them to action on November 4…and after?
