"Be a good citizen."  "Citizenship counts"  "Behave in public manner."  What does that mean?  How does that relate to writing a letter to the president?

Well, what we do and how we act/react to the world around us depends on the ideas we currently have from our family, friends, neighbors, and community.  Every one thinks and acts differently because of this; it makes the world an interesting place!  A civically active people participates in their communities. They believe they are part of something bigger than themselves, and they believe each person has value.  They collaborate and participate to make the world a better place for everyone.
