A book or movie review includes:

a summary without giving away the ending
any awards
the charaters (if a movie, what actors played which characters)
the message (the theme) -- one sentence "big picture" -- example: "People should _________________"

the reason you liked or did not like the book/movie/tv show
describe the favorite part, or example of why didn't like it

Structure of Book Review:

First paragraph: Introduce title, author, plot.
Second paragraph: Summarize the plot
Third paragraph: Explain the message/theme
Fourth paragraph: Reasons why liked/didn't like with evidence/example from book/movie
Final paragraph: Give a comparison to another book/movie and your recommendation
